Scorm File Not Running Consistently

Nov 11, 2016

Hello all!  Hoping somebody has some insight on whether there's anything I can do about a technical situation that likely isn't actually an Articulate problem. Created some eLearning in Storyline and uploaded it as a SCORM file to this mini LMS we use from another provider (Brainshark). I've done this before and it seems that once it's in the LMS the experience for the user is sometimes inconsistent. Buttons don't work, etc. I test drive the course(s) on a Mac and a PC and they run consistent for me. I have little control over the viewer situation (i.e. browser, bandwidth, etc.) since our employees are decentralized across the country and the technology varies. Brainsharks are generally Flash-based so I know the Flash is up to date in all of our machines since we use it often. Brainshark hasn't been much help. My IT department hasn't been much help. And I'm really at a loss here.  As if the situation isn't frustrating enough, the most recent person to have a very inconsistent experience was somebody in management, so they're ready to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Any ideas? Thanks...

Yes, thanks. Flash is enabled and up-to-date for all users. As I mentioned, we use Brainshark on a weekly basis to deliver pre-recorded PowerPoint learning (with animation), which runs with no problems in our environment. It's just the Storyline SCORM projects imported into the Brainshark environment that seem to have inconsistencies.

Hi Marcee,

Thanks for confirming that, and I also wanted to mention as an FYI that responding via email includes your signature here. You're welcome to edit the post to remove that information if you wouldn't like it publicly.

I'm not at all familiar with Brainshark, have you reached out to their team to see if they have specific in regards to the support of Storyline and SCORM?
