SCORM Not working on two different LMSs
Feb 28, 2017
I have just completed a lesson file and exported it to Tempshare for a quick review. Everything seemed to work fine (worked great on Tempshare) and then we noticed the lesson did not work on a mobile phone. I started digging around and tested on two different LMSs that we have. The SCORM package did not work on either! Please see the images below. Is this an issue? I have not changed anything I am doing in Storyline and all of a sudden the SCORM packages are throwing an error. Any help or suggestions would be great, we need this resolved ASAP.
Thanks,
Michelle

Hi Michelle
just linking your other post to this one for anyone following along.
Which LMS's are you using - that may help other users help you troubleshoot.
We have Moodle and an internal LMS. I am not sure what the internal one is but I could find out tomorrow.
Thanks,
Michelle
Wendy, our other LMS is NetDimension (I just remembered)
Thanks,
Michelle
You can have this problem if you manually zip the output rather than zipping through SL.
What happens is that you click the folder, and zip it which creates an extra level of folders. If you open the folder, select everything, then zip it, you can zip manually.
Hi Walk,
No, I am not manually zipping, everything is done within Storyline. Last night I tested SCORM 2004 and it seem to work. HOWEVER, when I use Tempshare to do a quick view, the mobile side does not work? Any thoughts on that? We have never had this issue in the past so it is baffling.

Hi Michelle,
I'm glad to see from your other post that SCORM Cloud worked - that's a good indication that something is happening with how your LMS is reading the content. I'd share those results with your LMS team for some additional ideas and suggestions. Also Tempshare is designed for Web based content, so the LMS published content may not work. I also wanted to let you know that Tempshare doesn't support HTML5-only output from Storyline 360 or Studio 360. To upload your published course to Tempshare, you'll need to include Flash output. Or, you can publish HTML5-only output to Articulate 360 for testing and review.
I also saw your file path for publishing, and I wanted to remind you of the best practices here to make sure you're publishing locally. Publishing to a shared/network drive is also known to cause odd behavior in Storyline and Studio projects.
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for the comments. To answer a few of your questions I did export with both Flash and HTML5. The strange thing with Tempshare is it use to always work and over the past few days (that I have noticed) when I test a course with the link on my phone, it does not work. It was very odd.
Also, I work on a MAC so the shared drive is just the desktop of my MAC rather then my PC. I will try to save to the PC desktop and see if that helps, great suggestion.

Thanks Michelle for sharing that information. I havent' heard that there are issues overall with Tempshare - but if you're publishing for Web and uploading there, what happens when you try to access the link on your phone? Also what's the OS of the device and what browser are you using? I'd look to confirm it's one of those noted here.
If you're working on a Mac, I'd also look to the steps and best practices here. You'll want to work locally in the Windows/PC environment.
