Screen Recording Auto Playing Probelm
Jul 22, 2013
Hello,
I have a Storyline presentation where I have recorded several changes to a system to show users what the are and how they use them. One of the features added was the ability to Export information into Excel. In my screen recording, I export the system information into Excel then in Excel I scroll across to show users where to find the relevant information in the report. This is where the problem begins.
The entire scene is 11 slides. I have a Player Trigger (same trigger used in the entire report) set to "jump to next slide when user click next" however the entire scene plays as on clip. All 11 slides play continuously without the user having to click the Next button. How can I fix this? I have tried re-recording the scene and taking screen captures using the PrintScrn button when I have reached a point in the report that I need to point out to the users. From there I then continued scrolling until the next important piece of the report. This was unsuccessful as well. Is there a fix for my issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi JW and welcome to Heroes!
Can I have you submit a Support case so that we can look at your file?
Thanks!
Done. Thank you for the advice and the welcome Ashley.
Happy to help! Please let us know if you need anything else!
What did you find with this? I am having the same issue. I cannot seem to remove the autoadvance. I've tried removing the trigger "when timeline ends", I've removed the screen recordings, I've removed the mouse - nothing corrects... Please help.
Hi Amy,
This discussion is quite a bit older, so it's unlikely you and JW were running into the same issue.
Could we get a look at your .story file to figure out what's causing the trouble?
I noted that earlier, however the issue seems to be the same. I've attached here :)
Thanks for sharing your .story file so that we could take a look, Amy.
Your trigger is set correctly, but your slide properties are set to 'Automatically' and these would need to be changed to 'By User':
