Screen recording doesn't play back

Hello Storyline experts!
I could use some help with the recording playback feature. I have tried to record my screen several times. The first time it worked without any problem - I could see each step on a separate slide. However, it has not worked any of the other times. I am trying to do the "step-by-step" in "try mode". I have tried recording both a website path (clicking through to access a specific document on our website), and also a software application (logging in and accessing a specific section of the software). After I save / insert the recording into my Storyline project, I can only see the first screen that I captured in my recording. It's like it's stuck or something. I don't know if I need to change a setting on my computer, or if I'm missing a step, or what. I would really appreciate any tips or advice!

Sorry for the trouble you're having. Can you tell us a little more about the recording you're doing? For instance, which web browser are you using when clicking through your website?
Also, how are you viewing your screen recording when you test it - in preview? A published version?

I am using Internet Explorer 8. The software application is also a web-based application, using Internet Explorer. I am just getting started, so I am viewing in preview.

Can you confirm that you are running both IE 8 and Storyline as an administrator? It's also important to ensure that you're working exclusively from a local drive, rather than a network or USB drive.
