Screen recording function & Microphone gain control.

Hi,

I have an issue with the way the screen recording function of storyline is automatically modifying the recording level (or gain) of my external mic.

When I use this function the gain is set to 80 and Storyline overrides whatever I manually set this too.

 

By comparison when I use (Insert->Sound->Record Mic…) then the gain is not modified by storyline.

 

So the two different features in Storyline are controlling the microphone and the AGC (Automatic Gain Control) differently. Is there a way to disable this via a setting or registry value?
