I will be working on a screen recording to demonstrate an application and will also include interactivity to keep the user engaged.
While I tried to record the screen and inserted them using the "View Mode", how do I include the other slides which involves interactivity into the "view" slides?
I'm not quite sure I'm following exactly what it is you're trying to do...
Sounds like you've already created and added your screen recording, is that correct? I think the confusion may be that View Mode Steps allows you to insert your screen recording as a demonstration for your users. The demonstration is not interactive. It simply allows your users to see a process in action.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but here goes:
Go to the Insert Tab, and click on the arrow in the corner of the Record Icon button.
All the screen recordings you have made will be available for selection - click on one to select.
Insert slides window opens -
Select Insert as: Step-by-step slides, then in the drop down below that you can select "Try Mode Steps"
Make your "Insert slides in" "and Scene name" selections
Then click on the Insert button..
