Screen recording issues with Storyline 2 and Replay

Frustrated!! Case submitted, but I am already late with a deliverable.
I am trying to do screen recordings with Storyline 2 and then crop/trim them, but the Video Editor launches a blank window and a little spinning wheel. I turned to Replay, but it is only capturing about 2/3 of the area that I have outlined to be recorded.
I've been doing this for years and have never run into this before. I am working on a new laptop, and have installed and reinstalled Storyline 2 to no available.
Has anyone else experienced this type of erratic behavior? Any suggestions??

Hi Lisa! So sorry you ran into this problem, and right when you had a deadline, no less! You came to the right place for help.
I do see that you submitted a case, and you'll hear back from one of our Support Engineers soon. In the meantime, try opening a new blank Storyline file from your local hard drive, and perform a short screen recording. Does the Video Editor work in that file?
No, it does not. I have tried reinstalling Storylne 2 as well. Nothing
works.
