Just curious, what type of recording are you planning on making? If it's a a single video or "View" mode recording, maybe you can still stretch it enough that some of the bar is exposed and crop the video down afterwords?
Another option would be to stretch it out and place an object/shape over the bottom so the bar doesn't show in the video on your slide.

Can you share a screenshot with us?
in the attached files you can see, that the recorder control bar is directly on my playbutton.
But it doesn't make sense to record the buttons, because the don't work...
