I did a recording and set it to the Try Mode, but I want to access the individual backgrounds that were recorded. Is there some place that I can access those and pull them out an manipulate them?
The step by step screen recording creates the background automatically, and it's not something that you can edit. This prevents edits from happening that aren't consistent across slides.
One method you could try is to remove all the items from the timeline and take a screenshot of the page as is. That would allow you to manipulate the background image separately and use it somewhere else in Storyline.
This is brand new: if you're using Storyline 360, we just added a media library and the images are in there. What's nice about that is you can edit and roundtrip the images right inside of Storyline.
The .story file is a zipped file. Use something like 7zip to unzip it and inside the unzipped folder go to story/media folder you can find the images. You can edit them and put them on the slide.
I thought I found what you were talking about but I didn't. Can you explain how to get to these images please? I found the Insert > Media Library but that's only images I've already inserted.
This is a HUGE help. Answers all my questions, thank you for taking the time to do those demos! And thank you for the quick response, you have no idea how much that helps me right now.

Hey, Janelle. Happy to help explore both recommendations with you!
I'm partial to the Media Library suggestion, but give any of those a whirl. Let us know how you go!
