Screen recordings no longer play - upgrade issue???

I recently created a course with 9 short screen recordings. I was able to edit and play all of them in preview mode. Yesterday, I went to publish. When I first opened Storyline it said I had updates, so I installed. I can no longer see the recordings and I can't publish successfully anymore. I've never had this happen!
I went back into the storyview and noticed that all my slides are gray now, which previously I saw the item i was demoing . I tried to open one slide and see if it would allow me to edit and I get the included error.
The only thing I did different this time from any other time was install upgrades first. Any suggestions, out there. I'm supposed to publish soon. :/

It's possible something happened during the installation of your update.
I'd suggest conducting the repair steps here of Storyline.
I just reinstalled and that didn't work. Any other ideas????

If you followed the steps outlined before for the repair, and you're still having odd behavior please follow these troubleshooting steps and let me know if the behavior persists on a new file. For the existing file you can try importing it into a new Storyline project to see if that resolves the issues with the existing file.
