Screen resolution for Storyline 360
Mar 23, 2017
I have previously used SL2 and had to adjust the screen resolution on my laptop to see the content in a proper size (while the rest of my software would be way too small). I have since obtained a team license for 360. It seems that the size is no longer an issue, but the quality of the graphics is very poor at my default resolution of 3200x1800 (at 250%). I have not yet tried it on a desktop computer with a default resolution of 1920x1080.
Does anyone have recommendations on how to improve the quality of the graphics? The laptop runs on windows 10 (64 bit).

Unless you use images of equally(or fairly equally) high resolution, you're going to get a fair amount of distortion as objects are enlarged to fit your screen size.
Unfortunately it is not just images, even simple text blocks have such poor quality that it is hard to even read them, both when editing and when previewing.
Usually, that's because objects that contain states get converted to rasterized images during publish and even during preview sometimes. So they too are affected by the above.
Don't get me wrong, Storyline certainly isn't without flaws, but I don't think I can point fingers in this particular case.

It would be helpful if we were able to upload .svg files to avoid the chrome resolution issues. SVGs are scalable vector graphics (could include text) that will improve blurriness issues within browsers.
Interesting Celia. When I think of svg files, I think of crafts right off the bat.
If this is something that you wish to see, please feel free to share it with our team here. Please be sure to share why that file type would work well for your projects as well.
