I am trialing Storyline 1 Update 10 on a Surface Pro 4 running Windows 10.
The recommended screen res is 2736 x 1824 but the menu options appear very very small. I can zoom the screen which it does, but still the menu options are tiny.
I have tried changing the screen res right the way down to 1280 x 600 but makes no difference.
Storyline 1 is not supported in the Windows 10 environment.
Even for Storyline 2, users have difficulty with high resolution as detailed here:
You may find that user interface elements in Articulate Storyline are small and difficult to read on high resolution monitors—generally, monitors that display more than 2,000 pixels in width. We're working to improve performance on HD monitors. In the meantime, you may need to reduce your screen resolution while working in Storyline.
The same would be applicable for tablets and we recommend utilizing 96 DPI.
Leslie any update on high resolution monitor support. I find it unacceptably that it is taking so long to get this issue resolve. High resolution displays have been out for a long time now and this issue has been a issue on devices running windows 8.1 and now we are a year into windows 10.
I wanted to link you to this forum discussion where I shared an update about two months ago. I don't have any updates since then, but please know this is something our development team is continuing to investigate and that our support team continues to advocate for.
Did you also check the DPI setting? What version of Storyline are you using as well? I don't know that I've seen items go to big with that display, but if you've got a screenshot I'd love to take a look at what you're seeing.
Hi I realize this was from a while back. I am just experiencing this. Everything is so SMALL! I have not seen this before and am needing some help. It is really hard to work this way. I have storyline 2. I just changed my resolution it did nothing.
With Storyline 2, you need to work at a DPI setting of 96, or 100%. That's caused some display issues if you're working in Storyline on a high-resolution monitor, and as you stated shows quite small as Storyline won't scale or redraw the UI to match the screen size and monitor resolution.
It's something our team changed in Storyline 3 and Storyline 360 as we were able to rewrite how Storyline would behave on a high-resolution monitor.
If you'd like to take a look at the trial of Articulate 360 here you can see how Storyline 360 would appear, (and Storyline 3's trial is here). Please keep in mind that any changes you make to your Storyline file won't be something you can use in Storyline 2. If you need to talk with our Sales team about the cost of upgrading, let them know here or email Sales@articulate.com.

Jack, I feel your pain. I'm relatively young, but I have to literally wear reading glasses just to work with Articulate to ease the strain!
Come on Articulate, this has been a request for years...

I am having nearly the opposite problem. I am using a high res monitor but everything in storyline is too big!
