Screencast Help
Sep 02, 2015
Hi All.
I'm new to using Storyline 2 and have (with the help of a template) created my first piece of work that includes a few screencasts. I've published it and it works fine on my browser (Chrome) however when i try it on my iphone 6, the videos do not play? I'm hoping to showcase this to my bosses this week and wanted to include phones and tablets in the demo so any help would be appreciated.

Apologies if this question has been asked before.
Thanks

Hi Adam, Publishing to the iPhone requires some specifics that you may not be aware of. For example, private browsing feature in Safari should be enabled and video dimensions should be a certain size. Other than this, HTML5 specs are a cross-browser nightmare at times. Are you running the latest vers of SL 2? HTML5 output checked when publishing?
Hi Richard
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes I'm using the latest version of SL 2 and when i've published the work i've ticked the HTML 5 output box. For the video, all i did was record my screen and insert it to a scene.

Hi Adam,
Did you check the articles that Richard shared in regard to video dimensions? Can you see the video on the slide or is it just blank?
Also, you may find that videos expand to fill the screen when viewed in mobile Safari on iPhones.
This is expected behavior. Mobile Safari automatically scales videos to fit the screens of smaller devices, such as iPhones. (See Apple's developer documentation for details.)
If you need to avoid this behavior, we recommend viewing courses with videos on larger screens, such as iPads, laptops, and desktop computers. Or, create a simplified version of the course that doesn't include videos for iPhone users.
