I used screencast recording to insert a YouTube video into my project and it plays fine most of the way through in preview but stops right near the end. I have a trigger to play some narration when the media completes and that isn't working in preview either.
How long is your screencast? Storyline tops out at 2 hours of screen recording.
Do you see that the video, if you were to edit it, shows the whole thing, or that it's also clipped at the end? If the whole video file is accessible while editing, it sounds like something we'd need to take a look at for why that media trigger isn't working. Could you share the .story file here with us?
Also, just in case this helps, I wanted to point out the directions here on two ways to insert YouTube videos directly into Storyline. Both of these would also give you a higher quality than a screen recording of a video.
