I am trying to test a concept where the user can hover over an 'up bar' and click a button from a pane of assets. The scrolling needs to pause when I am not hovering over the up or down bar and assets need to re-appear on the bottom of the pane when they have scrolled up and vice versa when they have scrolled down past the boundaries....has anyone ever done this? I feel like I am close...download my progress and give it a shot.
It's late in the day and my brain is kinda fried but have a look at the attached (rough) example and see if that helps you along. I'm using a variable that indicates direction and use it to stop or move the icon along.
Michael, thank you very much for your reply! Could you explain the logic behind your variable? I am new to e-learning and don't immediately understand what exactly it is doing here.
I think in its current state, the scroll start/stop (because the current start/stop works based on states) would even work without the variable. I just thought you might later on want to have a means to determine if you are currently scrolling up or down. Also, see attached a revised file where I just fixed one small isssue with the scroll stop.

Come to think of it, a long time ago I had experiemented with a horizontal scroll, see the example here and a short blogpost here.
Thanks Michael, this is exactly what I want to do with my menu! Would you be willing to provide the story file so I can see what you did?
