Scrolling, Shortcuts, Buttons, and Triggers

Feb 13, 2013

Hello All,

I have each page of a PDF saved as an image file and then arranged in order in a scrolling panel so that learners can scroll/browse the document one "page" at a time.

I'd like to add some navigation buttons that would allow the learner to "jump" directly to a particular page in the scrolling panel (i.e. the 5th image/page) which would entail having the panel "auto scroll" to the right place.

While I'm at it, I'm also looking for a way to have the scrolling panel start at the bottom when the time-line starts.

I've numerous approaches and looked all over the community for answers  to both of these questions but so far I'm stumped. Any takers?

Hi Greg,

First, love love love the idea! I'm wondering if layers would work for you? For example, the initial layer could start at the bottom (or appear to), then when the user scrolls or clicks on the scroll bar (or possibly even another key), the page could load a different section (maybe even with an entrance animation?).

This sounds fun. I'd like to hear more about this!
