Search feature of Storyline Player does not work in WebKit browser

Mar 15, 2013

Hi,

We are using search feature of Storyline, it works pefectly in swf. However, HTML 5 output does not show search component when we checked on iPad. Please let me know if there is any work around so that we can use this feature for HTML 5 output.

Thanks and Regards,

Thanks for the response. However, I would like to know whether the search component can be displayed in HTML 5 output of the Storyline. Currently the search field gets displayed in swf output, i.e. when tested with story.html, and when tested story_html5.html the search field disappears when viewed in Chrome and FireFox browsers.

Hi guys!

Just wanted to pop in here with a little bit of clarification. HTML5 output doesn't provide the support for the search feature in Storyline courses:

This would be why the feature shows in the Flash output, but not in HTML5. If you'd like to see more information about what features are support and are not supported in the different outputs of Storyline, please see the full comparison chart below:

Articulate Support > Comparing Storyline's Flash, HTML5 and Articulate Mobile Player output

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Christine
