Searching for specific triggers?

Jun 14, 2016

There was a recent transition within our agency that required urls to change, be moved, or deleted.

In most of our courses we linked to documents that were available within our agency's website. I've been tasked to go through all our courses (including many I didn't work on) and check to see if the links have broken because of these moves and changes.

Is there a way to do a search, or quickly see hyperlinks to jump to url triggers?

Yes, I know, 6 years old, but in case someone else clicks here.  I inherited a course that had an Open File trigger to a PDF file and I wanted to know if the trigger was in any other screens. So I did "Find in Files" with Notepad++ picking the directory I'd published the SCORM package to.  I then searched for the string PDF.  That gave me lots of results, I then narrowed the search to the specific file name. I got 3 results.  The results were .js files but near the beginning of each .js file there was a title tag; these are the .js files used to generate each screen when the course is 'played' from an LMS into which the SCORM package is imported.  Therefore knowing the titles of the slides I found the 3 slides in the .story file that had triggers opening this particular PDF file and I could update each and republish. So you could use this strategy to search for the string "https" and find all references to URLs and narrow from there.
