I'm looking for solutionformy problem, i have a project with 5 layers, each layer contains audio the problem's i cant control the audio with a seekbar.
In Slide Layer Properties panel, select Allow seeking: Yes.
This will allow you to scrub your slide layers.

Hi Mike, I've tried this option, but layer's seekbar can't be moved. In the player's general option I've set seekbar as "read only". Is this the problem?
If so, is there a way to allow slide seeking only after completing it?
Here's what I've tried to do: - Base layer not seekable - When timeline ends, automatically go to layer 1, which is an exact copy of the base layer - Set allow seeking to "yes" on layer 1
Another attempt, with base layer and other 2 layers showing the very same content:
- Story's seekbar set to "Allow user to drag seekbar" - Created a base layer lasting just 1 second. Then, automatically go to layer 1, which is "Allow seeking" set to NO - When layer 1 timeline ends, automatically go to layer 2, which is "Allow seeking" set to YES.
It should be perfect, but unfortunately "Allow seeking" set to NO in layer 1 doesn't work properly: the seekbar shown is in fact the one of the base layer. More over, it is seekable.
That's nonsense...
It's a pity that in Storyline 2 there's no way for allowing the user to freely review a slide after completing it without seeking.
There should be something like "Navigation restricted until you complete the slide".
Restrict learners on first viewing of course (set to Seekbar is Read Only)
Allow them to free navigate (drag seekbar) after they've completed the course once
Is this something that can be accomplished? If so, how? We have a video in the course, so we need to control the seekbar as opposed to navigation buttons. Thank you!
There isn't a way to change the seekbar's behavior after viewing. You could set the seekbar to only appear on certain slides though - and then allow the next button to advance users based on a condition such as "when media completes" or when the slide timeline ends.
unfortunately not - if you're using the default player it's on or it's off.
Not sure which version of SL you are using if SL2 - there is a SDK that may help with a customised player and you may be able to control it that way but that is only available for flash content.

Thanks, but i like all the layers in the same seekbar and it's possible to show a total time of the 5 layers ?
Thank you
Hi Shrek,
Unfortunately, it's not possible to have all the layers in the same seekbar.

Hi Mauro,
The seekbar setting for "read only" is going to apply to both the base slide and the slide layers.
If you don't allow seeking of the layer seekbar, the seekbar you see is still connected to the base.
Have you checked about the restricted navigation in the player menu? That would allow you view the slide before the user clicks the next button.
So if you need to:

Okay. Thanks, Ashley!
Is it maybe possible to only show the seekbar on a revisit to a slide?

Unfortunately not, Heather. The player items like the seekbar aren't accessible via triggers which would allow you to control this.
