Seekbar longer than timeline?
Feb 02, 2016
Hello!
I've noticed on my latest project that when I allow the seekbar on each slide, it often continues to move as if there is something playing on the timeline, when the timeline has ended. So basically the audio has stopped, the visuals are all there, and yet the seekbar is still moving. Is there any way to fix this? I made sure that the timeline is matched up to the end of the audio and it didn't fix the problem.
Thank you in advance!
Claudia

Hi Claudia!
Would you be able to share a sample .story file that we could take a look at to understand what you are seeing and what may be happening?
If you cannot share here in the forums, you are welcome to share here privately.
Hi Leslie! I was able to manually fix the issue, but what I found is that it happened only on slides when I had inserted a video. It looks like Storyline defaults to a set amount of time for the timeline, regardless of video length. I don't know if this is an issue anyone else has had. I think it was defaulting to 200-something seconds, but I may not be remembering correctly.
In any case, I had to go back and drag the timeline to an earlier spot, check how many more seconds I needed to drag it back, and then repeat until it ended when the video ended. I'm not sure if there is an easier way, but wanted to give an update and describe in more detail what I was encountering.
Thank you again for offering to look at the project! My apologies for such a late response.
Hi Claudia!
Typically the timeline will extend to match the audio or video being added, so extending past that is not behavior we would expect. I appreciate you popping in with an update and if you run across it again, please reach out to our support team here so that we can take a look.
