Select which results to pass back to LMS?

Mar 24, 2016

Hello...I'm pretty new to elearning.  I want to create a course where a learner can take part A, part B, or both.  I want to quiz at the end of each part and have a results slide for each part.  I was thinking of using variables to determine if part A and/or part B were taken.  Then on one slide, using layers, display the results for part A if only that section was taken, display the results for part B if only that section was taken, or display a combined results if both parts are taken.  I think I know how to physically make that happen...but my question is what information is passed back to the LMS?  Will it be only the information from the results that the learner passes through or will it always be from the combined results?

Hi, Robert -- Thanks so much for reaching out, and my apologies if I am not fully clear on what you need, but have you had a chance to take a look at this information on Tracking Multiple SCOs in the Same Course? As stated here:

Articulate Storyline lets you track a course either by the number of slides viewed or by a single quiz (result slide). Tracking both measurements for the same course isn't supported. Similarly, tracking multiple quiz scores in the same course isn't supported.

You may be able to track more than one SCO (shareable content object) in a single course using either of the following methods. Bear in mind that these methods aren't supported by Articulate.

Hope that helps, but please let us know if you had something else in mind! :)
