I have a custom drop-down menu on a separate layer within my slide master. Is it possible to change the state of the menu button that is currently selected by using a variable? It works fine as long as the menu is located on the main layer, but I can't get it to work on a separate layer.
Any chance you'd be able to attach your files here, or send them to us privately, so we can get a better idea of what's going on, and what you'd like to have happen?

I have the same thing happening. I have items disappearing and variables resetting as long as I have them on that separate layer in the master.

Thanks, Peter. I just got it to work. It was the old "turn off the "hide other layers" option" thing.
