Selecting "No Animation" not working
Jul 15, 2016
Hi all,
I'm revisiting Storyline 2 after putting the project down for well over a year, so I am a bit rusty. I've been patient and reminded myself of how various elements of the software works, and happily sorted most of my problems on my own.
However, there is one problem that has come up that I can't shake easily; I feel like it is possibly a bug. I have a couple images on previous slides that will remain in position on the next slide, so I don't want any entrance animations that I usually use on my slides.
The problem is, whenever I click "None" on the entrance animation options, it defaults to "Fade In" for 4 seconds, and no matter what I try, it doesn't ever get to the way I want it.
I've updated the software to the latest build and the problem still persists. I've copied a page where the problem is occurring into a new story and attached it below for anyone willing to have a look for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Fade is coming from your Master Slide. Unselect it in Master Slide View and it will be stop.
Welcome back!
Ahh, that'll be it. Annoyingly if I do it to one, I have to do it to all. Creating a duplicate master slide with no animations didn't fix it either. I'll keep at it, and get back to this post if I find a good solution. Thanks Les.
I would suggest that rather than creating a new master, you duplicate the layout that slide is using. Be sure to change the layout for the slide to the new one. Duplicating the specific layout keeps down the overhead and makes it easy to select a with or without for individual slides.
