Hi Community, this is my virgin post. I am hoping to find a membership site ideally Kajabi or something like it that will let me upload what I create with Story line 2 and sell the courses to my clients. What is cool about Kajabi is the turn key ease of use Marketing built in ect. But does anyone know if Story line 2 would work with it or is moodle the only option? Any and all thoughts experiences and suggestions are most appreciated.
I wanted to welcome you to the community! I'm not familiar with Kajabi, and only found one other user mention it in the forums, so you may want to reach out to him using the "Contact me" link on his profile.
Hi Ashley, thank you s much for your reply. thank you for the suggestions will drop them a line also. It need not be Kajabi, wondering how other course creators here sell and market their courses once built?
Interesting concept, just had a look at the Kajabi website. Although it doesn't seem to mention any elearning/SCORM type of file hosting, just audio/video etc. If this is the case, it looks very similar to Udemy, which looks to be a slightly more developed, polished product.
Would be keen to hear if you make any progress with this!
Hi Ant. thanks for your reply and the suggestions. I am exploring Udemy now. At first glance its impressive, some smart features. So its seems Udemy doesn't integrate with Story line 2 then from your knowledge? One has to imagine that there would be many Story line 2 creators out there wanting to sell courses and it would be a smart move for both Articulate and these membership site to integrate. I will let you know how I go, likewise if you hear of anything please keep me posted.
As far as I know Udemy is purely video based (well maybe audio and PDF etc. too) but definitely not SCORM.
Hence why we all get so involved with LMS!
There are probably some really cheap LMS options out there that would do what you need - I know from researching different LMS in my last role that Litmos offers an affordable solution, but its a little less off the shelf, self-serve software that you may be looking for and a bit more of an investment if you're only going to be selling one course... But the obvious advantages of using a proper LMS is that you have access to a lot more data.
Have you checked out Articulate Online? The basic plan is the same price as the high-end Kajabi plan.... but then your customers are tied into using that course only via that LMS - not an ideal situation.
I guess the best option would be to showcase the course online, and then sell them the course to host on their own LMS? But I'm sure you've already thought of that? ;)
Thanks for posting your question here, and reaching out to the community! I thought this compilation of LMS resources might also help in your search for solutions. Best to you!
Hi John, If you're comfortable with using WordPress I would suggest the Learn Dash LMS plugin. http://www.learndash.com/ It works well and they have top notch support.
Hi Ant, I am a coach and mentor other coaches and we want to sell many various online courses direct to our clients. We want the courses to be very professional and so I have arrived at story line 2 the other key aspect is easy of use for the membership site that our clients would sign up to. lastly Marketing/landing pages so we can generate leads to the courses we build. Kajabi is expensive but offered all that but no story line 2 integration which is key for us. So my hunt continues. However I have seen a reply below that looks promising. I am not sure if learndash is a cheap LMS? or not but it may work with optimizepress and therefore is the closest to the full package of membership site, Marketing site and LMS integration I have found yet. fingers crossed
Thanks for the suggestions Mark, yeah my partner Allen is comfortable with WordPress so will take a look into this. I am assuming you have used Storyline with LearnDash yourself then and if so would love to see your course if that was okay with you?
I don't have anything publically available yet. If you head over to http://lms.uncannycloud.com/ and create a free demo account you can see LearnDash and Wordpress in action. The course samples don't have Storyline embedded in any of the lessons but they do have one with Captivate. You would handle the Storyline output the same way, Using an iFrame or pop-up window.
This thread is a bit older, so you may want to message John directly using the "contact me" button on his profile to see what he was able to figure out.
I'm not sure if Kim is still subscribed here, but you are welcome to reach out to the user directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you do not hear back soon.
I hope others in the community will chime in with ideas as well.

Actually, the people at LearnDash have Storyline embedded in a lesson here: http://demo.learndash.com/lessons/the-keyboard-notes/

Hi Kim. Did you have any luck with finding out which memberships sites integrate SCORM content? I'm currently on the hunt.
Thank you Kindly.
