I have SL3. I would like to allow users to click a button on one slide that then sends them to a completely different slide and even directly to that slide's layer. I have played around with variables, triggers, etc. but don't seem to be setting it up right. Is this even possible?
Yes, it is possible. See attached a quick example of one possible way to achieve this. I use one variable. Based on its value I jump to a slide, or a specific layer on a slide. Hope that makes sense.
It is so great of you to reply, thank you! I tried to open your file, but I get the message that the file uses different features from my SL3 version. I did just download latest version and I didn't have any updates- even restarted and still not able to reach the file. I will try again, now knowing it is possible! Thanks again.
I was able to open with classic player and dissect your set-up and made it work! Thanks so much, it really helped me better understand all the moving parts. Have a great day, you made mine productive!

Here is the same file, but saved with the Classic Player, you should be able to open that in SL3.
