Sending email to supervisor if quiz failed three times.

Hello,
I wanted to ask for confirmation that this can be done with variables. The SME is requesting that if the learner fails the quiz 3 times, that an email be sent to the trainer so that they can follow up and support them. I have a %TrainerEmail% variable set up at the beginning of the course, so that the learner can input that particular day's trainer's email into.
As to the Results Slide, I have a third layer that the learner sees only if they fail the test 3 times.
My question is, can a variable be used to pull in that trainer's email variable so that when the user clicks on the "Send Email" button, that trainer's email will pull up in their email?
I have a less complex way to do this (e.g., just take away the retake button and inform their trainer of their situation/have the trainer be aware of the scoring situation of the learner), but I wanted to inquire if such a variable can be set up.

Hi Erin,
To populate the email message or to fields, it's likely something that you need to do with Javascript. You can see some Javascript best practices here that may help get you started.
