Hello, I just finished my articulate project and want viewers who don't have articulate storyline 2 to view my project via email, a link, or any way that is easy for the user to open. How do I do this? Thank you!
You will need to publish and share your course. Check out this information:
If you view an Articulate Storyline course on your local hard drive (or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive), you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. See this article for details.
I have had success with publishing to my local hard drive and then posting the entire published package to a shared network drive. I send sending instruction on where to find the folder and ask them to open the story.html file.
I've been trying to load it onto Dropbox but is there some easier way that I can send them a link and the user could just open it on Internet Explorer? On Dropbox what is the file format I would need to upload it as? (Zip or .story maybe?)
Hi Jessica - you would need to publish the file first. You are welcome to utilize dropbox and share a link to the story.html file as Jennifer shared above.
If your users do not have the software, they will not be able to utilize a project file, which is what the .story file is.
Take a look at the article in the documentation I shared above for instruction.
