You need to do a couple of things. One is to set the Navigation Restrictions to Restricted. That way they cannot jump forward using the menu but they can go backwards if they wish. Insert a trigger to change the state of the Next button to Disabled (or Hidden if you wish) when the timeline starts. Add a second trigger to change the state of the Next button to Normal when the timeline ends.
