Is there a way to set "default" mouse options? I want the straight
mouse path, no click sound, no animation, etc. but I don't want to go
into each slide.
That's a really qood question. Currently, you'll need to update the pointer path for each slide. I agree that an option to modify the default settings would be a great feature. If you like, you can add your voice by submitting a feature request.
Has there been any update on this over the last 7 years? This is really a big no-go for anyone working on rapid development of a large quantity of content. To go into each slide is very time consuming and opens up for errors.
Is there perhaps a Windows registry workaround for this?
No updates yet! It looks like you'll still need to update for each slide, but I can see when working with large quantities how this could be helpful. I’ll be happy to pass your thoughts on to our product team, but you can also feel free to detail them more through a feature request.
As far as a Windows registry workaround, I'll leave it up to the community to offer up suggestions!
Hi there, It would be very helpful to apply cursor change (appearance, lack of sound, no click effects) to all slides at once for the imported screen recordings. It can come to 60 manual slide changes otherwise..
While this feature hasn't made it on our feature roadmap yet, this discussion is connected to the report, so we'll be sure to notify you when we have news to share.
I concur - it is extremely tedious to manually set the mouse for each individual slide. Please can this be escalated and placed higher on your backlog.
I'm going to submit a request as well. This is a big one for us and may make the difference between staying with Captivate (where you can change the default mouse settings for all slides) or moving our education department to Articulate. I'm working on getting management to agree to moving to Articulate but recording demos in the software is utilized A LOT. If this is put on the feature roadmap, that would make a big difference!
I'm a Storyline tester for our company that is looking to possibly move from Captivate. The lack of this feature is actually something that might be tough to break away from as our demo's can be 100+ slides and we may have multiple demos in a course. I hope this moves to development really soon so I can at least report back with a road map date.

+1 on the need for the capability to change the default mouse format. I'm going crazy changing these in my 100 slide project.

9 Years later and we are still begging for this ability! This honestly adds hours to my work load. :(
Any updates on this? I have a presentation with over 100 slides that I need to update.

I have the same request - it is such a time sink to change each slide!
