I've just upgraded to Storyline 2 and am excited to start using more paragraph formatting options. Can anyone tell me how to change the Storyline settings from Imperial to Metric? e.g. so that the 'Before Text' paragraph option displays as 1.5cm or 15 mm rather than 0.5".
A good point in terms of the different language settings we have available, as those would likely use Metric as well (French, German, etc.) so you'll want to share your thoughts here in the form of a feature request with our product development team.
I just sent a feature request for this change too. The paragraph options measurement units should be linked to your system settings, not fixed as they are currently at imperial. By the way, did you know there are only 3 countries in the world using the Imperial System? Liberia, Myanmar, and the USA (source: http://www.zmescience.com/other/map-of-countries-officially-not-using-the-metric-system/)
While we're at it why not have the option to set it like is typically done in professional typography using points and picas? That's how the typefaces themselves are measured so makes sense to measure the line and paragraph spacing that way as well...
Thanks all for sending it in as a feature request - not sure we'll convince the entire US to change to metric, but we can at least send it along to our Product Development team.
We've recently upgraded to Storyline 360 and it doesn't look like this has been resolved yet. Is it worth submitting another feature request or will the ones already submitted for Storyline 2 be carried over?
It seems really odd to have a digital design tool using an obscure unit of real-world measurement rather than one used in digital design.
Never hurts to submit another feature idea, Chris! We've carried some over that we've heard about since the release of Articulate 360 - but others that didn't get a lot of traction with Storyline 2 may not be as visible for our team. In case you're wondering, here's how we manage all of the ideas we receive!
