When you group objects, they will appear as one object on the timeline. You can then set their timing by moving the object on the timeline, or by using animations.
Is there a way to set the timing of the appearance of two text boxes on one slide? I have to people on one slide and I want them to introduce themselves at different times with the prior text box disappearing. Each person is on a different layer. There must be something simple I am not getting.
not sure if the attached will help you - I haven't used grouping. It has two text boxes that appear on stage at different times and when the text box appears a layer opens with a character...timing is quick so you can see it. If you want to upload the slide I can take a look for you

Hi Wendy,
Attached is what I have. I guess I have to go back and watch the video's
again. Short-term memory is shot.
Thank you,
Christopher
