Set to track by slides viewed but giving credit for completed quiz score

I have a course that is set to track by slides viewed, but it is giving credit based on the test score. So after the test there is a 'certification' page where they must certify that they will abide by the terms. You cannot get to the certification page without passing the test. The course is set to track by slides viewed, so you must get to the certification page, agree/certify, then advance to the next page which is just a congratulations placeholder type page that you can only get to by passing the test and certifying. However, if you pass the test and close the course it is giving completion credit.
Does it not work correctly to track by slides viewed if there is a test, or do I have something set up wrong?

Any ideas? In a little bit of a time crunch on this course and it is all done except the tracking not working correctly...
Hi Mike!
It sounds like you are looking to track by a particular slide, and this thread should be able to assist you in getting this set up.
That is an interesting workaround that I had not thought of, but it worked so thank you. Did I have something set up wrong or does it just not do what I expected it would do in my situation?
Glad that worked for you Mike! I'm not sure how you had it set up, so I cannot speak to that. I just know that if you have 25/30 slides set for your completion, your user will never have to reach the end of your course.
It only had about 5 slides, one of which was a test of several questions drawing from a pool. If they pass the test they are allowed to advance to a 'certification' page, and if they complete that they were allowed to advance to a congratulations page.
It was set to track by # of slides viewed, so unless they advanced to slide 5/congratulations page they should not receive course credit, but no matter what I did if they pass the test and close out of the course it would mark it as complete. It was tracking by test score and not # of slides viewed, even though it was published to track by # of slides.
Sounds like you were doing everything right, but hard to say without seeing the file. Is this happening in your LMS? Are you able to replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud to see if it may be LMS specific?
You are welcome to share the .story file if you'd like me to take a look.
I did replicate the issue on SCORM cloud and same problem. I can upload but the other workaround did the job so I hate for either of us to spend any more time on it. Thanks for the help though.
Ok Mike, just let us know if you need anything further.
