Did you mean to create two new "SLIDES"? I cannot find anything that says create new SCENES.
And my slide template is a custom built background. So the fist slide I built was then used to create all remaining slides.
I did mean 'scenes'. In StoryView, right-click and select New Scene or select New Scene from the Home tab on the Toolbar. The look&feeel of your existing slides should be unchanged, since you only move them from one scene to another.

Thanks Michael for sharing the image! Additionally this tutorial on working in Storyview gives directions on how to add new scenes.
thank you. That helped much. It also helped me verify where I had a few slide relationship issues.
Thanks Michael for the update and glad that worked for you.
