I was wondering if there is somehow that you can outlines a shape, but only on one side of it. Obviously, I can click "Shape Outline" and it will outline all four sides, but what if I only want the bottom of the shape outlined? Is there a way to do this without copying a pasting individual lines?
Depending on how complex your shape is, you might be able to achieve this by having two shapes of the same dimensions, but different fills slightly overlap each other. Then group them. For more complex shapes, I guess you would have to work with individual lines to create the one-sided outline.
Sometimes when I am trying to get the effect of using an outline on one or two sides of an image or shape, I will use the shape effects, inner shadow feature. It still gives a slight shadow to the adjoining sides, but has worked for me as a style when trying to outline only one or two sides.

Hi Stefanie! I hope that either Michael's or Laura's suggestion will work for you. Just let us know and if you need anything further.
