Shapes moving once rendered

Nov 23, 2016

Hi All

I've just finished a project where I have hidden all of the built in controls and added a left and right arrow within the slide to navigate.  Within edit mode, the arrows are perfectly aligned in the bottom right corner, however when it renders into preview mode, the right arrow is sitting about a mm higher.

I have attached pictures, the pic with the gridlines is when it's editable, the other pic is when I have it in preview.

Would love to know how I can fix this please!

Hi there Siobhan,

I'm curious if your DPI setting may be causing an issue for you?

Articulate Storyline requires Microsoft Windows to be configured with 96 DPI (dots per inch). If Windows is using a different DPI setting, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:

*  Elements of the application are misplaced or distorted.
*  Objects are misplaced or distorted when previewed or published.
*  Zoomed images don't work as expected.
*  Font sizes are incorrect after using the translation features.

You'll also want to confirm you're working with local project files, as working on a network or USB drive could cause odd behavior.

One final tip: be sure you're editing in at least 100% view, since editing in anything less than 100% can cause misalignment in objects that have the illusion of being aligned.
