Shapes with solid dash type not selectable

This may be old news, but I'm having a problem with using rectangular shapes as buttons when the dash type is solid.
I created a number of shapes (rectangles, no fill, dashed line) over sections of the interface for a piece of equipment. After setting them up and adding triggers I decided that the shapes weren't prominent enough so I changed the dash type to solid and increased the pixel size. When I did this, I could no longer select the enter shape...I could only select it's online. When I change the dash type back to a dashed (broken) line, I could select the entire area of the shape.
Is this a problem (known or otherwise) or is it designed to work this way?
Thanks for any input.
Jay

Hi Jay
which version of SL are you using?
I know I had an issue with dashes as borders to objects when using SL2 (and I think it was listed as a bug)
and now in SL360 I sometimes have an issue so I avoid using them.
Hi Wendy,
I'm using SL360 and we're up to v 3.33.20625.0
I've primarily used Captivate until recently...using SL as well now so I'm trying to get up to speed with it. I'll keep this issue in mind for future projects.
Hi Jay. Try changing your shape fill to "100% transparent", instead of "No fill".
That worked Melanie! Thank you.
Glad that worked! I have to give a shout out to Jay Chun - I learned this tip from him. :-)
