I would like to edit a project my co-worker has created in Storyline 1. She sent me a zip file but am not sure how to open the project in Storyline. Is there a certain type of file she needs to send me for me to edit her project?
if you unzip the zip file you should see a file with an extension .story
That is the file you need to open in Storyline to be able to edit.
Just be aware if you are using SL2 and you open the SL1 file, it will create a SL1 backup but then convert it to SL2...your co-worker won't be able to open that SL2 file in her SL1 version.
I'd also recommend extracting that file to your local drive before opening, as working off a network drive or USB drive is known to cause issues as described here.
I'm glad Michael was able to assist you here, and he's correct that you'll need to access the original source file which is the .story file. It's not included in the published output.

Hope that makes sense.

Please see attached screen shot … don’t see a file .story.
@Dana, your co-worker sent you published content. In order to make changes/edits, you need to ask for the actual source file (.story).
