Shifting objects on screen
Aug 28, 2014
Our team is working collaboratively on a large project, and we are each working on pieces of lessons. Everything looks perfect until we share it, and then when the next person opens the file, the text and objects have shifted on screen. We are all using the same version of Storyline (have not installed the newest update) and are sharing story files from portable hard drives.
We've tried locking all the objects on a slide, and that doesn't seem to have any effect.
Any thoughts?

Hi Korey,
could it be that some of you are developing in an other resolution.

We checked, and we are all on the same resolution. But you bring up an interesting point - would the resolution of our laptops have any effect? Or the fact that we are building not only on our laptops but also have multiple displays with additional monitors?
Hi Korey,
It'll be important to ensure you all are using the DPI setting here of 96, as using a different setting is known to cause issues, that may not be consistent across your machines. Additionally, you mentioned portable hard drives - you'll want to ensure that you're saving to a local drive, and while collaborating on files you'd want to follow this method. Working off a network or USB drive is a known cause of issues within Storyline.
Thank you, Ashley, we will try your suggestions. Fingers crossed it works!
