I have used 'Spacebar' key as a shortcut key for a interactivity in a slide. This functionality works fine unless I touch the Storyline Seekbar. Using seekbar is losing the focus from the object and not allowing the shortcut key(space key on keyboard) to reach the object.
You could try locking the seekbar when you publish the course to prevent the user from clicking on it. Not sure if you need Seekbar functionality throughout the rest of the course. Hope that helps.
