Show all slides at once

Jan 30, 2016

Hi, I'm working on a website that will contain various PowerPoints with information (content is linear). I need to use Storyline because:

- it can convert the Powerpoints I already have made to HTML5 and be displayed embedded on the webpage, and while viewing website on a smartphone.

-URLs in imported PowerPoint are still live in HTML5 output

- add interactive tools not available in PowerPoint

However, I would like to be able to show all the slides at the same time (the content of the slides is linear). So that the user has the ability to scroll up and down the webpage to go through the slides. And depending on his or her computer screen, he may see more than one adjacent slides at a time .  This mode of viewing the presentation would be in addition to seeing one slide at a time and navigating by using the Player's "Next" and "Previous" buttons (or the "Menu").

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi, Laura -- Thanks for reaching out with your question here, and just so we have a better idea of what you'd like to accomplish, could you please provide us with a few more details? A colleague and I were discussing your query, and we're not certain as to whether or not what you've described can be done.

Do you want to apply images to a slide with hotspots perhaps that link to subsequent pages? Or do you want to publish the .PPT to utilize within Storyline as a web object perhaps?

I know this is an old thread, however, I don't show there was ever an answer. I have a similar need. If you are creating layouts for a team to use OR showing someone what you have created, there is a need for Storyline to let you view all the slides on one screen. In the Story View, you have to scroll to view all slides. Instead, Storyline needs a feature where (no matter how big or small) all the slides are shown on one screen. This would be a "tiled" type of view. This is an option in PowerPoint.

I have ran into the need several times in the last couple of months where I want to show someone an overview of what I've created and need all the tiles on one screen. Currently, my workaround is to preview the entire project, screen shot EACH slide I want previewed and paste them into a third party application to create the same idea. It's exhaustive and very time consuming.

Hi Bridget,

Thanks for detailing your requirement on how Storyline 360 can be improved. You are correct in that the only way to see an overview of all slides right now is in 'Story View', and having a feature that could show a more comprehensive overview of the slides would be a great feature to have.

I’ll be happy to pass your thoughts on to our product team, but you can also feel free to detail them more through a feature request!
