Show correct/incorrect respons when reviewing

May 26, 2014

Hi,

I've done a result slide and marked the box "Allow user to review quiz" and also "Show correct/incorrect responses when reviewing". No I want to know if there any way I can determine where in the slide the correct answer appear when the user want's to review the quiz?

I've got two Text entry Interactions and in one of the reviews the notation is correct and appears where the user can se it, but in the other Text Entry Interaction the right answer appear in a strange place on the screen (se attached picture).

Hope fore help!

Hi! I am having exactly the same problem - where can we edit the review parts of storyline?

Also how can I switch on the next buttons for the review part but keep them disabled for the main part of the project

Thanks

Check this thread http://community.articulate.com/forums/t/50000.aspx

I have tried to explain how to edit the review screen on a drag & drop question which is basically the same for all questions.

Carola, as far as I know, you cannot change the position, it must be there, you can change the text in Player -> Text Labels and #5 is correct feedback title which you can change and #15 is incorrect feedback title. I think that's all you can edit.

EDIT: There is a way of creating custom correct / incorrect messages and new look on the slide while you are reviewing it but its more complicated. You can cover the area where the Correct / Incorrect message appear and create your messages by yourself and set them to hidden, In the question add a variable that you can give a value 1 if the user clicks on the correct answer, and give value 0 if user clicks on incorrect answer, and on the review layer create a trigger that would show the correct message if the variable is equal to 1 and show the incorrect message if the variable is equal to 0. Both triggers when timeline starts.

In the attachment is a sample I did it quickly just to show you.

The same way you can cover the question with the background image (for example) and you create your custom review screen.

Hi Marko,

Thank's for your effort, but I'm afraid that It dosn't quite solve my problem. Is there any way to edit the default settings for "Review the quiz"?

In the same scene in the same project I get different behavior for the review. I've attached a picture that shows the correct behavior and one that shows the incorrect. I'm sorry for the text, it's in swedish, but I hope you get the picture anyway

Hi Carola and Eric,

Modifying the review feedback layer is discussed in a bit more detail here - and the appearance/location of the correct answers for a text entry can't be modified - so you may want to look at covering it, similar to how users in this thread cover the correct/incorrect banner at the bottom.

Hi,

I just want to update this thread with the solution to my problem. A colleague came up with the solution that fixed my problem. In one of my Textentry interactions the Text Entry box was to large so that the feedback text was placed underneath instead of in the box. I just needed to shorten my Textentry Box and the problem was solved. Se attached pictures of the large and small Textentry box.

Thanks for your efforts,

Carola
