Can anyone help please...?? I can't create a button that function is to show and close the layer.... for example if I press 'T' to show the transcript, then I want to close the transcript layer with the same key..!!!! means press 'T' to show and 'T' to hide the layer...... can't do it tried it a thousand times!!!!
Thanks for bringing this up. It appears that this functionality isn't working correctly in Storyline 360. Is that the version of Storyline you're using? I'm going to continue testing this and work with my team on determining next steps.
If you can let me know what version of Storyline you're using, I'll include that information in my report!
The triggers I used in my testing didn't involve variables. I found that a simple "Show layer when the user presses the T key" trigger on the base layer and a "Hide layer when the user presses the T key" trigger on the slide layer works great in Flash, but not in HTML5.
MICHAEL! YOU ARE AWESOME!! This works like a charm.
It was driving me nuts. I had to set the variable True/False - Then add a trigger for the toggle - Then add show or hide with a condition. Dang! Why cant it be easy in storyline 360? It so hard to find or remember how to do this. I did it a long time ago but forgot.
FEATURE REQUEST -- When you select an option for your trigger on a button it should be straight forward to show/hide something... It is a common needed button. WOW... Thanks again Michael.

I must be missing something obvious here, but I can toggle a layer with either a keypress or by clicking a button. See attached.
Nabeel,
If you don't like Michael's sample, there is another one that was posted on a similar discussion this morning: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/hide-show-layer-with-the-same-key

Thanks for sharing that sample file, Michael!

Here's a screen recording of my testing.
It's good to know there's another way to set this up, so I appreciate you sharing a sample!
