Show/hide object depending on state different object

I'm building a simulator for a pump. The system has different screens depending on the task you want it to perform. At any time the user should be able to rev up and down using the turning knob at the bottom left. The screen should then jump to the sceen that shows the rpm of the pump. 

I got that working so far. The problem lies in switching to a different screen (I use states to switch) The visual rpm bar (green bar, I have only modelled part of it, the high rpms) stays visible in the next screen. 

My question is: can you automatically hide objects when a state of a different object changes? Or do you have to hide each individual object in every state?
