When I switched my slides to hide the base slide when a new layer is opened, any object that is clicked to open a new layer performs its original animation. I don't want it to keep repeating this animation. It's a one time thing and I can't figure out how to turn it off except to tell it to show the base layer again.
Just to elaborate on the issue. I have the base slide layer set to hide but for some reason it wants to take the clicked on object and add it to the layer and start its animation over again.
I also have the base layer objects set to change state on the base layer once they've been clicked. IT shouldn't affect the layer though, right?
I did see the behavior you saw. I changed the Clicked state to the built in Visited state, to remove the triggers to change the states. After removing this, the slides work as designed.

Hello Andrew,
Can you let me know which slide you are having issues with?
Slides 7 and 8 have the issue.
Thanks for clarifying Andrew.

Attached is the updated file.
Thanks, Emily! That did the trick. :)
Glad to help Andrew!
