Show layer trigger working on one scene but not the other...

Aug 08, 2018

There's one home scene and two game scenes. The game scenes are called Cancion and Perdon. Both of them have the exact same trigger, to show layer WIN when variable Total reaches 12. I made sure the WIN layer is exactly the same in both scenes, checking the properties of it and other layers. But the trigger is only working in Perdon. The Total is changing correctly in both scenes.

Also, is there a way to LOCK the drag item in its place once it's placed in the correct drop? See, when run, you can repeatedly drop the same drag item and the score (Total) continues rising. Right now, it helps to be able to repeatedly drag and get the score to rise faster so I can check that faulty trigger. But once I solve the trigger, I want to set it up so they don't keep raising the score.

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to view this and help me out!

Hi there, Vallarie!  I found one small inconsistency that made all the difference.  ☺️

In the Perdon scene, your triggers were ordered "Show the layer Sparkles," and then "Add 1 to Total."  In the Canciones scene, they were ordered "Add 1," and then "Show the layer."  The Sparkles layer was being shown and overriding the WIN layer.  Once I swapped them all, WIN showed as expected.  Test that out in your file and see if it works for you as well.

Thanks for the multiple drag trick!  Ha - it did make testing easier.  As for locking those dropped items, you could always set a trigger to change the state of each of those to disabled when they're dropped on the right target.  So, change state of A1 to disabled when A1 is dropped on B1 1.

Let me know how that goes!
