Show options selected on slide 1 on slide 2

I have a slide with checkboxes with text. When selected, a variable is set with the text value. I want the user to select however many checkboxes they want, and then on the next slide for it to display only the ones they selected. Is this possible without showing a space for all the UNselected options? If I use text boxes with the variable references in them it'll leave empty spaces for the options not selected. Looking for this to be more dynamic.
