Showing a shape to remind visited zones

Jul 23, 2012

Hi all!

First, I'd like to say that this community is full of usefull tips and advices... Thanks to all for this!

Second, I wanted to precise that as I'm french, I'll try to be the most clear I can and hope you'll understand what I mean...

So...

I am building a free navigation course... Visual is based on a house plan, and students have to visit each room to complete course and make the exit button appear...

The navigation is based on layers and triggers... So for exemple, when user hovering mouse over a hotspot, it makes a layer appearing with another hotspot (a 50% transp white shape with title) on it, which send users to the scene that is connected to this layer. Up to there, everything's fine...

But I noticed during the test session that users are missing some hotspots... So I'd like to make the same white shape appearing on the master layer when the user have visited a scene or a room to remind them when they went... Problem is... I don't know how to!

Please, help me!!!!

I don't think you can make a hotspot visible to the student.  However, you can make any shape a hotspot.  So instead of inserting a hotspot, create a shape and manually add the triggers you want to the shape.  You can then give the shape a highlighted appearance as its normal state, a different appearance as its visited state, etc.

J'espere que j'ai compris que vous voulez!

Diane, I tried to do what you said, and it works...

I set up a normal state and a visited state for the shape named "Déclencheur". Then, when I hover it, my layer appear, when I click on the layer, state of Déclencheur changes for the visited state (which is white)... But as it makes me jump to another scene, when I come back to the menu, the shape is back to its normal state, which is transparent...

I tried to change the basic layer settings to "restore saved status on revisiting" but it doeasn't seems to work...

Is there a way I can change the state definitelly, while the layers still appears on hover? (I hope it's clear for you, I barelly can't understand myself!

Thanks again!
