I am working within quizzes in Storyline. I have completed the test and have the user reviewing the quiz. However, I would like a button to show ONLY when reviewing - so, for example, the reviewer gets to the fifth questions that they have answered and a button appears that was not there before.
Richard: I'm not sure there's an easy way to do this. It's simple enough to add additional text when a learner is reviewing a quiz (text box to fill in is at the bottom of the screen, if memory serves), though. Perhaps there's a way, through a T/F variable, to have an additional layer show on review. --Daniel
Thanks Daniel. I agree, I'm really close but I can't quite get there. For example, I've tried to show a layer when the variable on the test is more than 0, but then it shows before the test is completed. It would be good if there were a T/F variable on review, but I can't find it.
It's quite frustrating as I'm almost there! - thanks for your help though.
Hi Richard. I would do the following (although there is probably a much more elegant solution that someone can share):
Create a new T/F variable named something like underReview that is initially set to False
On the results slide, create a trigger to adjust the underReview variable to True when the Review Quiz button is clicked.
On the review layer of each quiz question, create the button that you want the user to click. Be sure to position it so it is not covered up by the "Correct/Incorrect" bar that will be automatically generated at the bottom of the Review layer. Also be sure that the initial state of the button is hidden.
Add a trigger on the review layer to change the state of the new button to visible when the variable underReview is true.
I haven't tried this myself, but it seems like ti should work.
