I have set up a free form Pick One interaction. I set a trigger on each of the objects that will play an audio when the user clicks on the object. So, when the user clicks on the answer he/she gets verbal and audio feedback. Is there a way to have a pause/start control connected to the audio?

You can create your own play/pause buttons to do this. Here is a thread that describes a number of ways you can do this.
