Simple sliders not resetting consistently in SCORM

Jan 17, 2020

We have several Yes or No slider on a layer in a storyline 360 file that work perfectly in preview but are inconsistent once exported into SCORM4th and placed in our LMS for testing, despite preemptive browser cache clears.  I've reviewed and tried info from a few similar threads without success.

Here's the scenario.

  • User enters the main question page and answers a Yes/No question (radio button 1 or 2)
  • If Yes radio button is selected layer opens asking for detail, including the problematic y/n slider
  • Expected behavior is for slider to be in the middle (2) position when the layer displays - this consistently happens in preview but not once exported...including sending false responses if the user does not touch the slider because they wanted to answer what it showed visually vs being in the middle
  • We've checked all the variable behavior in preview and can't find where this is coming from.  Any ideas?

Hi Doreen!

Thank you for including these details! It's hard to tell the exact issue without testing the file, but I would check to see if the slides are set to resume to saved state or initial state.

Would you mind sharing the file with me? You can either use the "Add Attachment" button in this discussion or share it with me privately using this link. Either way, I'll look at the properties and triggers to see if there is something specific contributing to the error where the sliders aren't resetting.
